What is a good website to find out my credit score?

I want to finance something but i don%26#039;t know when my credit is activated

What is a good website to find out my credit score?

Your credit only drops after running it more than 3 times within a quarter. You can check with a loan officer you might know. You can check with a rental agency. It costs about 30 bucks.

Be careful about finding out your credit score... it lowers your credit rating!

Experian....They%26#039;ll ask for a credit card number but if you cancel your account after you print your credit report and score they won%26#039;t charge you a cent......

Go to http://www.annualcreditreport.com, you get a free report once a year, and for like $5 you can get your score. Oh, and personal inquires on your credit report do not lower your score, only when a business checks it.

It only counts one inquiry if you inquire the credit score within 15 to 30 days. In other words, that will not lower your credit score if you have multiple inquiries within 15 to 30 days. If you are financing something and your credit score is required, the financing institue should be able to run your credit for you and you can request a copy of it.

If you just want to review your credit history and make sure everything reports in your credit report is correct, you can go to https://www.annualcreditreport.com/cra/i... This will offer you an annual credit report at no charge. Bear in mind that this will not offer you any scores. If you want to have scores, it will have charges.

WARNING:

http://www.AnnualCreditReport.com - This is really free and you can get all 3 reports.

http://www.FreeCreditReport.com - This is NOT free and is affiliated with Experian. It%26#039;s free only for the first 30 days or something.

When you go to the site http://www.AnnualCreditReport.com , it will take you to all 3 reporting agencies. You will be required to pay extra to get your SCORE from each of these agencies - As each score is different from the other...

Go to http://www.myfico.com/ to get your FICO SCORE - which is like Gold Standard ( for mortgage etc. ) and is completely different from the scores you get from Experian, Equifax and TransUnion.

I agree with the last reponse. I would recommend going to http://www.myfico.com. I have found that site to be the most accurate and closely related to actual FICO scores that a mortgage broker would access. Also, accessing your credit through this site will not affect your score. Your score is affected when you specifically apply for credit.

US users:

Don%26#039;t sign up for anything. Don%26#039;t use freecreditreport.com (you%26#039;re signing up for their credit monitoring service, which charges a monthly fee after the free period is over)

Go to http://www.annualcreditreport.com and order your credit report. This is the site set up by the gov%26#039;t. when they (finally) decided to let you have one free (from each of the big three agencies) every year. I would suggest you get just one agency%26#039;s report every four months so you can keep tabs on your report all year for FREE! For example, order Experian%26#039;s today, in November order TransUnion%26#039;s and in March order Equifax. Then next July, start all over again!

You can also get your credit score when you use this site, but you will have to pay for it (around $7-10). You%26#039;ll have to pay for it wherever you go, so might as well do everything in one site.
