I%26#039;m a dumbass and ****** my credit but I got a cell phone some how and I went from..wait for it... 419 up to where I am now 480 and this was just paying my cell phone bill on time for likE 4 months so I somehow got an auto loan and was wondering if I paid on that for 6 months 7 months would that raise me I%26#039;m trying to get to 620 so I can be like a regular american how long will that take?

It could be as little as 30 days if you know how to work the system. Basically, take a close look at your credit report. Anything that says you were more then 30 days late, dispute it with each of the TRW companies. Say that those items %26quot;were never late.%26quot; Any collectors on your TRWs, say that those accounts %26quot;are not your accounts.%26quot; If they no longer have your account, they cannot contest this and you can have them removed thereby bringing your credit score up.
After you have disputed these items, the TRW companies will begin an %26quot;investigation%26quot; where they will contact the creditors and ask them to verify if your dispute is accurate or not. If they do not respond, the item is removed forever and your score will go up.
Other ways to get your score up...is 1) never close credit accounts if you can help it, 2) pay within 30 days (even if it%26#039;s late, as long as it is not 30 days late, it will not be reported), 3) keep your balances to 35% or less of what you owe (example would be...owe no more then $3,500 for every $10K of credit you have), and 4) get different types of credit.
Cell phones and utilities to do not affect your credit because they are not credit items...they are pay as you go items. Only the auto loan will affect your score.
I recommend going to Citibank.com and applying for a credit card. They are the largest bank in the US right now and fairly easy to get a card with. Plus, they have great rewards.

It might be different for you because you have negative items on your report but I went from having no credit to over 700 after one year from buying a car.

It really depends on your credit. Honestly your cell phone probably did not help your credit score. I don%26#039;t know any cell phones that report to the credit reports.
You have three credit reports so you have three scores. You need to rebuild if your wanting to raise your score. I have a few options if your interested.
