My credit score dropped for no apparent reason, does anyone know why that would happen?

Nothing on my report has changed, no new credit, late pays, etc.

There could be several reasons even if you always pay your bills on time. Never exceed 50% of your credit card limit. Always pay more than the minimum due. Don%26#039;t carry too many cards, even if you don%26#039;t use them. Every time you apply for a loan whether you actually get the loan or not it will lower your score. This is referred too as too many inquiries. Income to debt ratio may be too high. Hope this info helps.

Also a divorce will usually drop your score for a time. Another possibility is a change in jobs, especially if you also changed your field of work. For students, grades could affect a score.

Have you used your credit cards? Did you have someone check your credit? Your credit score can be affected by how much you owe on your credit cards for example, if you have three credit cards all with a limit of 3000.00 dollars and you have use them so that your available credit is now only 2000.00 total them your credit score will go down because the amount of available credit has gone down, it%26#039;s really confusing with credit sometimes, I hope that this might have helped you, Best of Luck

Seeing that you added additional information and you have no credit cards, but a car loan depending on how long you have had your car loan then your score could just now be reflecking this, also this will have changed you debt to income ratio which will also effect your score, Best of Luck

Mine went down once because I had a high revolving balance and too many inquiries! I was still paying my bills on time and more than the minimum. Then I paid down my balance big time and my score went up even higher than it was before!!
